Drawing & Painting

A selection of mostly traditional artwork with some digital paintings. Media used includes acrylic, oil, pencil, ink, watercolor, charcoal, and others.

Photography

Mostly digital photographs. Some digital post processing and image editing using programs such as Adobe Photoshop is used. Common subjects include the local Iowa Great Lakes community, wildlife and nature scenery, and portraits.

Web & Graphic Design

As a traditional artist I am well trained in the impact of visual design I can use this knowledge to create effective advertisements, websites, and create content suitable for publishing. I am well versed in the use of almost all current graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, and inDesign.

Illustration

I am trained in many methods of illustration. My past subjects have ranged from story-based illustration to technical and biological reference illustrations. Media use includes traditional materials such as pen and ink, watercolor, and pencil as well as digital image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
