Who am I?

My name is Scott Oleson and I have been creating artwork my entire life. In 2007 I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from Iowa State University, focusing on traditional artwork (such as painting and drawing) as well as graphic design and photography. I am actively creating fine artwork and offering professional design services in the Northwest Iowa Okoboji Great Lakes area.

What is this website?

This website is a presentation of my current and past work. In the portfolio section of the website are examples of past work. The website also provides information about services offered and contact information.

Portraits

Portraits of couples, families, friends, or pets are a great way to celebrate the things most important in your life. They can make a great gift idea around the holidays or for birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries and will last a lifetime.

I offer portraits based off of a photo you provide. The portrait can be drawn or painted at any size in paint, pencil, and many other media. Rates are very reasonable and depend on size, subject, and media. For more information please click here to contact me.

Current and future projects

I am always happy to accept commssioned projects in almost any 2-dimensional media, for example painted or drawn portraits or landscapes. I also provide professional graphic and web design services.

My personal projects include working on an online graphic novel, creating drawings and paintings for gallery exhibition, and refining my photographic work. I am also working with a small group of local artists to organize an art club.

Recently completed commissioned pieces include a 45 square foot bar top painting, wedding portraits, and paintings on canvas.
